Weller Designs Ltd secure planning for the remodelling of Oxhey Park Golf Range.

The existing range outfield suffers from poor drainage and maintenance issues. The approved scheme will involve the raising of the outfield with imported soils to, not only improve the drainage characteristics, but also make it a more presentable and fun range on which to practice.

The scheme also involves the installation of a ‘water harvesting scheme’ where excess runoff from the outfield will be fed to a purpose built water storage lagoon located to the north of the site.

We are particularly pleased to gain planning permission for this site as it lies on a Zone 1 Charging Aquifer. A great deal of hard work has gone into ensuring the local authority and the Environment Agency were satisfied that no impact would be had on the aquifer during the construction process.’ – David Weller

Work will commence on the site in summer 2014.
