Weller Designs acted as Designers, Lead Designers and Planning Consultants for a large-scale remodelling scheme and facility upgrade at South Cerney Golf Club.
Planning approval was given in 2020 for a proposal that incorporated the upgrade of the existing driving range and the introduction of a new irrigation lagoon and various hole improvements.
Weller Designs also were instrumental in getting planning permission for range lighting in a hitherto sensitive area for floodlighting (due to light spill). The BERM lighting, grading design, water harvesting and business case arguments, as well as other mitigation measures, all contributed to the local planning authority giving permission for lighting on a range that previously had been refused.
In addition to the golf course improvements, Weller Designs also undertook the detailed design for an Adventure Golf putting course based on a Roman theme (being near Cirencester).
